Meet Kate Winslow: EXO Sales Manager for North America

Kate will support and strengthen partnerships across the North American market

EXO Travel is excited to welcome Kate Winslow to the team as EXO Sales Manager for North America.

She will work closely alongside Amanda Pilar, EXO’s North America Sales Director, as well as with our in-destination teams of travel consultants to support our travel agency partners throughout the U.S. and Canada. Kate brings a unique eye to the job, having followed an unusual path into the travel industry. Soon after completing her Master’s Degree in forensic science, Kate moved to Japan to work for the US Government. During her three-year stay, she travelled extensively through Japan as well as to other EXO destinations in Asia.  Upon returning to the United States, Kate spent a few years in academia before changing career paths and entering the world of travel.

‘I wanted to help others discover new places. It all goes hand in hand with being a travel designer, so I took the leap!’

‘I’m an avid traveller myself- I love learning about new cultures, learning history, being adventurous with food- and I wanted to help others discover new places. It all goes hand in hand with being a travel designer so I took the leap!’ Kate explains.

She became a Virtuoso travel advisor and spent seven years designing luxury journeys for guests, mostly to Japan.

‘EXO was my preferred DMC in Japan and I loved working with EXO.’

It is through this experience that she first learned about EXO Travel.  ‘EXO was my preferred DMC in Japan and I loved working with EXO. The communication was easy, the products were fantastic and I always received rave reviews about the guides. I knew my guests were in good hands with EXO, which was a huge selling point for me as a travel advisor.’

As Kate takes on her new role at EXO, her experience as a travel advisor will be a valuable asset. She loves research and planning, and she understands the nuances that make a journey resonate on a personal level. 

Amanda adds, ‘Kate’s experience in the luxury segment and within the US market will be key in continuing to strengthen our relationships and grow sales in this important segment.’

'I want to expand the US market’s thinking about Asia and Saudi Arabia as holiday destinations.'

Kate is especially excited to promote EXO’s destinations to the North American market.

‘I want to expand the US market’s thinking about Asia and Saudi Arabia as holiday destinations. To help them break away from classic destinations, think outside the box and open their eyes to new experiences, new foods, new adventures and new cultures,’ Kate explains.

‘I know how exciting travel can be and I want to showcase what EXO can offer for travellers within our destinations.’
